Do you need a new Roof?


Algae Growth

  

CAUSES:

  • Air-borne algae deposits and grows on roof which can affect long-term performance.
  • Wood shakes are particularly susceptible to moss/algae growth.
  • Occurs most often in damp and/or humid climates or in shaded areas of the roof.

    • RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Replace with algae resistant shake.


    • Damaged Flashing

    		  

    CAUSES:

  • Improper installation on a new roof
  • Damaged or missing caulking
  • Drying and cracking on an old roof

    • RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • In most cases it is only necessary to remove and replace the flashing and shingles around the damaged area.
